Hillary (Boone) Orsini, is a Benchmarks Lead Trainer and the Assistant Director at the Center for New Leadership. She has trained and coached hundreds of organizations across New England in the use of RBA and teaches "Outcomes and Evaluation for Learning Organizations" at Marlboro College Graduate and Professional Studes. Hillary has presented her work nationally and internationally and is a member of the Vermont Accountability Group steering committee, the Vermont Data Collaborative, and the RBA Community of Practice team.
Kate McGowan is a Benchmarks Lead Trainer and the Executive Director of the United Way of Addison County. She has worked to successfully integrate RBA into the work of the United Way, and has coached and trained nonprofit organizations throughout Vermont through her involvement with Benchmarks for a Better Vermont. Kate has attended numerous trainings with Mark Friedman, and was certified as a Results-Based Accountability trainer in 2014.
For four years the team at Benchmarks for a Better Vermont has worked to provide a ladder of training and coaching opportunities to Vermont's mission-driven sector. From the 18-month, cohort-based Performance Institute, to the 4-Part RBA training series, to 90-minute introduction to RBA sessions, we have built a training model that meets learners where they are and challenges them to build a culture of accountability.
Drawing on these experiences, Kate McGowan and Hillary (Boone) Orsini of Benchmarks for a Better Vermont will lead a training that guides participants to develop their own skills in results-based facilitation, grounded in RBA processes and tools, and principles of adult learning.
Participants will learn:
the basic principles of adult learning
how to conduct Results-Based Accountability workshops
how to lead training exercises; and
how to help organizations and their leaders put these practices into operation.
