Lamoille Family Center Will Present RBA Scorecard in South Africa this Fall
July 16, 2014
Thanks to Becky Gonyea from the Lamoille Family Center for sharing this with us.
The Lamoille Family Center has accomplished a great amount in our effort to create a performance management system using the Results Based Accountability framework and the web-based Results Leadership Group Results Scorecard.
Specifically within our Children’s Integrated Services (CIS) program, we have worked with direct service staff to develop the story, partners, what works and action plans for each of their 10 required performance measures. During this process, staff have been able to identify challenges to “turning the curve” as well as strategies that have been successful. The action planning section of each measure has been the most beneficial, as it is where concrete steps (new training, clarification from the State, database improvements, internal system changes, etc.) are identified to improve program performance.
CIS staff and contracted partners now understand the program data and appreciate the opportunity to engage in a process to improve performance. We see this as a huge success!
Utilizing the web-based scorecard has helped to move the process forward. We work directly in the scorecard when meeting with the team so everyone can see data and edits can be made immediately. This tool professionalizes the process. In December 2013, we embedded the CIS scorecard on the LFC website, which allows full viewing access to the public. You can view the scorecard at http://www.lamoillefamilycenter.org/our-data
Our work on the CIS Scorecard was recently acknowledged by the Results Leadership Group with the opportunity to present this fall at the international RBA conference in Johannesburg, South Africa.
